Good news for fans of Bridget Jones! British author Helen Fielding told BBC Radio 4 that it plans to publish in 2013 a third novel adventures of its heroine.
The publisher said the book would show a different part of the life of Miss Jones, without specifying whether the two loves of his life, Daniel Cleaver and Mark Darcy would be the game.
For information, the character Bridget - amateur cigarettes, alcohol and anguished by his few extra pounds - was born in 1995 in the newspaper The Independent. Very quickly, this charming thirties has found its audience. Monitoring is a first book for Helen Fielding!
"The new novel takes place in London today, with a completely new scenario for Bridget. If people laugh as much as I read the script, then we are all very happy," said Helen Fielding .
Its editor adds: "Good writers are very rare comic. Helen is part of the very select club of those who have created a character, Bridget, whose mere mention makes you smile Like many others, I am eager to know what happens to him. "
Before discovering this third volume, you can always replay the two eponymous film ['The Bridget Jones's Diary' (released in 2001) and 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason' (released in 2004)] with the American actress Renée Zellweger in the lead role, and of course Colin Firth (Darcy) and Hugh Grant (Cleaver), in those of her suitors!
